Description
With this SPIKE Prime RC steering wheel, you can remote control your LEGO robots. It works on LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 robots, SPIKE Prime, and Robot Inventor 51515 robots with direct brick to brick Bluetooth connections.
To connect to the newer hubs you need to run Python code on both the robot and the steering wheel. The code for steering wheel is included. You will have to customize the robot script for your specific vehicle. There is a boilerplate vehicle code on GitHub you can start with.
Included in this download
- Building instructions
- Python Code for the EV3 sail wagon
- Python Code for the EV3 drift car. It also works on the one-kit version.
This model is built with the SPIKE Prime 45678 base kit and the 45680 expansion pack. You don’t need any other bricks.
The Python code for EV3 works best with MS Visual Studio Code and the LEGO MINDSTORMS extension.
The Python code for SPIKE Prime and Robot Inventor runs from within the official LEGO app.
